The Dreaded MCAS !! - Our goal is to learn the salient points of a first course in high school Physics and to be able to apply this learning - together with our Algebra tools - in the solution of real-world problems of Physics & engineering.
A measurement of how well we do is our performance on MCAS.
The subject of MCAS can summon many thoughts & certainly from a Bromfield perspective Bromfield teachers are afforded considerable latitude of feeling because of their consistent high performance !!
Fortunately this trend continued with the first Physics MCAS in June 2007. Obviously this couldn't have been done without a lot of people's help - all their teachers - their parents - the students themselves - & last but not least the fine teachers of the Science & Math departments. So I certainly hope you take the attachment in the intended light - as a sincere thank-you for all the work you've done assuring that our 9th graders are so well prepared - as certainly without your professionalism the results wouldn't have been as nearly so promising.
Perhaps in education - like few other professions - we're all packing each other's parachutes every day - thank-you for packing mine so well !!
