Please Note:  Most labs will require that the student answer select questions in a "Form" format.

Relative to how I score - basically, I am looking for accurate, clear, concise and complete sentences in response.  Procedures, if pertinent, must be included.  Calculations, as required, should adhere to the "Problem Solving Protocol" of PSII.  Neatness will also weigh very heavily, and as such a type written response is suggested.  Cross-outs, scribbles, crumbled or torn paper and those "rough-spiral-edges" will not help towards a score of 100%.  Grades will be based on a "100%" scale, and the increment of scoring will be usually in increments of 5%.  Points will be lost if any lab handout is lost or if any submittal is late.

Our position on significant digit determination for Home-Work and class-room (i.e. at the board) activities notwithstanding - we will use the following guide for significant digit determination for lab activities.  This well suits lab activities since we will inherently know the accuracy of all (measurement) factors in any given lab  -  a situation which is sometimes ambiguous in certain other activities.
