NOTE:  Homework (i.e. PODs) 25% of grade.

Current Problems Of the Days (POD's)

Most (but not all) homework is expected to be assigned via "Web Assign" (link below).

Much (but not all) of the "Web Assign" assigned homework will be direct from our text.  This notwithstanding, every student must still solve every problem utilizing the guidelines of the "Problem Solving Protocol" document linked under the "General Correspondence" tab of this website.  This is especially important should you need to raise any questions about the assignment in class.  Also, if the WebAssign feedback indicates an error - DO NOT USE all of your available "attempts" - until you at least raise the question in class or come to an extra-help session.

Due dates are associated with every homework whether the assignment was  assigned via "web Assign" or via an "old fashioned" hard copy (i.e. the manual way).  In an ongoing effort to keep homework performance high on the class agenda late assignments will not be accepted without an attending parent/guardian note that the reason for the delay was due to illness.  Once the parent note for "lateness" is accepted, either an over-ride of the due date will be provided via WebAssign or it may be requested that the assignment be done manually.

A Word About Mathematical Expression of Problem Answers:  Consistent with the established practice of our PSII curriculum materials (prepared by CPO Science - Author: Tom Hsu, PhD.) please carry your calculation to the greatest number of decimal places of any problem factor, or two decimal places, whichever is greater.  When "Pi" is one of the factors, use 3.14.

NOTE:  TO DETERMINE WHAT HOMEWORK IS ACTIVE FOR YOUR CLASS YOU MUST LOGIN TO WEBASSIGN TO CHECK ASSIGNMENT STATUS.  NEW HW ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN CLASS AND VIA EMAIL BUT IT IS REQUIRED THAT EACH STUDENT CHECK THEIR WEBASSIGN ACCOUNT REGULARLY FOR HW STATUS.
